While i’m not a huge fan of edm in general, i enjoyed the music choice for this game. changing from your current favorite car to a different one can be weird sometimes and it can take a bit of adjusting-there is always something new to learn in this game. furthermore, there are different types of grounds and tracks to race on. There are a total of 50 cars and each car feels and sounds different. overall, this game has a lot to offer if you’re looking for that rally racing itch. There are also different game modes to mess around in: time attack, which is a great way to beat your personal best time on a certain track custom rally, which you can play instead of the career mode if you want to drive the other group of cars and certain tracks online events, which feature a daily and weekly event freeroam, where you can hunt collectibles and just race around where ever you want. this addition hypes up the upcoming races and is a great way to introduce them! the problem for me is that the career mode is long and "grindy." it’s probably just a me problem, but i found myself later on not enjoying the seemingly repetitive races: rushing through the stages just to move on to the next one and then the next one–i wasn’t present with them later on and eventually it became a chore to work through. in addition, there is a short video of the next group of cars after you finish the current group’s season. playing the next group of cars feels rewarding and exciting. thankfully, you don’t need to complete the career mode to unlock the next group of cars, but there are just a few that need to be unlocked that way. along your journey with each group, you will read about the history and progression of the sport and unlock new cars and liveries. the racing games i’ve played in the past taught me to floor the accelerator and to rarely use the brake-this is not the case in art of rally.Īrt of rally’s main mode, career, will guide you through the upbringing of rally racing. ![]() this game was hard for me to learn and still is. although this game portrays itself as “arcadey,” due to its minimalistic (and beautiful) art style, the hands-on gameplay has a hint of realism.
